When to choose the OpenAI API
If you need OpenAI models specifically, per-token billing suits you and you have a foreign card, stay with the OpenAI API. For a small number of requests paying per use can be cheaper than a subscription.
When to choose Tenzo Cloud
When volume is large or unpredictable (agents, long Claude Code and Cursor sessions, batch processing) and you want to know the price upfront. Also when you want prices in tenge or rubles and work without a VPN.
Switching takes two lines: base_url and the key. No changes to OpenAI SDK code.

Which is cheaper at high volume?
